I’m Rebecca Rust, and I’ve honed my editing techniques over the past 15 years. Now, I am focusing on my people skills. I listen. I offer. I pivot. I listen some more.

Indie authors are some of the most passionate and creative people I've ever met. My goal is to help YOU find your way through, from draft to publication. I do this by editing your work, sure, but I also teach you the skills you'll need to capitalize on your own potential, after the edit is done.

Experience & Education

I am never satisfied with my work until my clients are satisfied. When we work together, we're working as a team to make the best version of your story.

I’ve worked in private and public companies, higher education, creative agencies, as well as language learning and continuing education software teams to edit, proofread, train, and manage content for more than 15 years. Each experience has helped to train my eye to spot orthographic errors, concoct delightful alternatives, and to be more courteous in my communication with clients.

Because I am a nerd for this stuff, I continue to learn more about editing in fiction and non-fiction. Most recently, I completed the certificate in developmental editing at the University of Washington.
